Limited Warranty
Electronik Repair, Inc. (ERI) will, at our sole discretion, repair, replace, or refund the repair fee paid to ERI for any 1987 - 1995 928 Typ LH-01 Electronic Control Unit (ECU) that fails within three years following the shipment of a repaired ECU during Normal use by the original recipient of the repaired ECU as installed in the original recipient’s automobile. Other ECUs have different warranty terms, please contact us for specific warranty by module type.  Used or tested only ECUs are not covered by this warranty.

Normal use does not include:
1) Using the rebuilt ECU as a testing/diagnosis device.

2) Damage to the ECU caused by over voltage or external sources or problems such as faulty wiring, alternator, injectors, idle valves, solenoids, or sensors, etc.
3) Improper installation, faulty grounding, reverse polarity of battery voltage, etc.
4) Damage due to liquid or foreign substances coming in contact with the ECU or connected components.
5) Modification of ECU or any part of the drivetrain from the original factory design, except as authorized by ERI in writing.

ERI installs a tamper seal upon each rebuilt ECU.  If the tamper seal is broken then the warranty is void.  No other warranties are expressed or implied.
All returns must have a prior approval.  A RMA (return material authorization) number will be provided by ERI before any returned unit will be accepted.  Upon receipt of the ECU, ERI will test and evaluate the returned ECU and notify the customer of results. The customer may then request return of the same unit if the unit tested OK, or another unit if the unit failed testing. No credit or replacement of units will be made if it is determined that the unit was damaged by the customer, e.g. by an improper installation, defective wiring, or the result of improper vehicle testing.
ECU Condition for Repair
ECUs provided for repair must be in rebuildable condition.  ERI will not accept fire or water damaged ECUs.  The ECU case, circuit board and connectors must be in good original physical condition.  ERI will not accept ECUs with damaged cases or with drilled or modified ECUs.   ERI will notify the customer if the ECU provided for repair is unacceptable.  Unacceptable ECUs will be returned to the customer, if requested, at no charge.
